Ned - The Wellbeing Dog

Ned is our three year old standard Blue Poodle who works in the important role as our school Wellbeing Dog. A core group of staff have been trained, acredited and are supported by, the "Dogs Connect" program. Ned spends his days off at home with one of Education Support Staff, Trish Beardsley. He spends scheduled time in each classroom throughout the week as well as offering support to students who may be experiencing some form of difficulty in their lives.

It is important that the whole school community recognises Ned not as a pet, but rather a working dog who has an important job to do when he is at school. Please note that it is important that no other dogs such as family pets are on site at any time.

Big thanks to Lori at "Hair of the Dog" for keeping Ned looking slick and professional. And thanks to "Bacchus Marsh Farm Supplies" for keeping Ned well-fed and supplied with enrichment toys.
